Most times I am sweet and understanding
At other times, I fan the flames of my anger
To permit me scratch and hurt
So that I can make the person change to suit me.
I love a challenge,
And when I get on it, no stone is left unturned
As I reach for excellence and my idea of perfection.
But I can be so lazy
That I will see a task and even the thought of lifting a finger
Is too hard to think.
And I do nothing.
My house is so quiet,
Like right now as I close my eyes to savor the moment.
I love it.
But it is weekend
And my friend and I will go out to party tonight.
When the DJ plays my favorite music
I’ll dance and revel in the moment
As the loud music vibrates through my entire body,
So loud, so exciting, so sweet.
I love a good pizza
Like the one they make in Italy,
At the roadside restaurants.
Mmm, so delicious.
And there’s nothing quite like a fresh bowl of salad
Crunchy and juicy.
Plus the thought that my body is going to love it
Makes it fantastic.
I love a good book,
God knows I do.
Mostly the ones on self improvement.
But a good movie with its twists and turns
Keeping me at the edge of my seat,
Will have me talking about it for days.
I am always building people up,
Encouraging and cheering them on
But you see this thing called gossip
It gets so tempting
That my resolve to stop it
Cannot hold back the juicy details from spilling into the conversation with my best friend.
I know it is bad
But I find it hard to resist sometimes.
Oh, the dichotomy of it all!
Love the honesty!
